Park City Mountain Resort

The largest ski resort in the United States at 7,300 skiable acres, with the Town Lift loading right off Main Street. Winter lifts run roughly late November to early April; in summer the mountain switches over to lift rides, the alpine coaster and mountain biking.

Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail

A 28-mile rail-trail on a former Union Pacific line, paved for the first two or three miles out of town on a gentle grade. The easiest genuinely scenic walk or ride you can start minutes from Main Street, and you can turn back whenever you like.

Park City Museum

Three floors of mining-boom history inside the 1885 City Hall on Main Street, including the original territorial jail in the basement. The best short, weather-proof explanation of why Main Street looks the way it does.

High West Saloon

The whiskey saloon attached to High West Distillery, in a converted livery stable at the base of the Quittin' Time run — ski to the door in winter. Walk-ins only, no reservations, and it's 21-and-over, so not one for guests travelling with kids.
