Welcome to Thistle Retreat, a luxurious 3-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom home with a private hot tub, located in the serene Sunflower Skies near Kanab, UT. Perfect for groups and families, Thistle Retreat offers modern amenities and stunning desert views. Guests get access to our rare-to-find seasonally solar heated and cooled pool, pavilion, pickleball courts, fire pit and playground!
The Space:
Thistle Retreat boasts a private hot tub, perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure. Guests enjoy a spacious living area with stylish decor, a fully equipped kitchen, and a comfortable dining area. Stay connected with high-speed fiber optic internet and smart TVs throughout the home. Each bedroom features its own ensuite bathroom, ensuring privacy and room for all, with an additional half-bath for convenience. Additional amenities include a fireplace, air conditioning, a 2-car garage, and a private patio that is fenced which includes a BBQ and seating ensuring a comfortable and relaxing stay. You will experience unforgettable adventures amidst Kanab's red cliffs staying here.
Bedding Layout:
1st Suite: King bedroom with attached bathroom
2nd Suite: Queen bedroom with attached bathroom
Bunk Suite: 2 Sets of Full Bunks with attached bathroom (4 full beds in total)
Guest Access:
Enjoy full access to Thistle Retreat, including a private hot tub and patio area. Guests can also use the community amenities such as the swimming pool, pavilion, pickleball courts, fire pit, and kids' playground.

Getting Around:
To fully enjoy the area, a car is recommended. Thistle Retreat offers convenient parking, making it easy to visit Kanab and explore the nearby attractions.
Other Things to Note:
Our community outdoor pool is solar heated and open seasonally. Pool is open mid to late May and closes in mid to late October (entirely weather dependent as overnight temperatures will impact opening/closing dates).

Highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the local national parks. The house was clean, welcoming, and provided ample room for our family of five. It had everything we needed and more. Standout features included the relaxing hot tub after long daily walks, the attached garage with an automatic opener—which kept our vehicle cool and protected from the heat—and the pristine, clear night skies ideal for stargazing. We used this home as our base camp for visiting the national parks, and it worked perfectly for our family of nine. The layout was spacious and comfortable, and every bedroom having its own bathroom (plus an extra powder room) made getting ready each day so easy. The kids especially loved the bunk room, and we all appreciated how close the playground, pickleball court, and pool were — such a convenient bonus for downtime between outings. Jeff was a fantastic host — very responsive and available every step of the way. His communication made the whole experience smooth and stress‑free, which we truly appreciated. The home was well‑designed for a large group, and we had a great stay. One small suggestion: adding a dresser in the second suite would make it easier to put clothes away for a week‑long visit. Overall, this was a wonderful home for our trip, and we would happily stay again.

This house was great for our family during our recent stay to the area. It is a quick drive to town. The bedrooms were spacious. Our kids loved the outdoor playground area and pickleball. lt was nice to have the pool so close. Host was very responsive. We’d gladly stay again in the area.

This is a beautiful and cozy home with lots of fun amenities for the kids. The hot tub was wonderful and easy to use, the community pool was lots of fun, and we made use of the bbq grill in the backyard. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. We had easy access for Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Highly recommend Jeff’s place as home base for the area!

The place was very spacious. The pool and jacuzzi were great for the kids. Had pretty much everything you would need to cook with. I would definitely stay here again.

Thistle is a great place to stay! Jeff was fantastic to work with as his home was perfectly situated for Zion and Bryce. Home was spotless and well decorated, making it feel like home. Kanab is a beautiful town and highly recommend Jeff’s home as your home base for your Utah adventures!

We stayed at Thistle Retreat while exploring Bryce, Zion & the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. The house itself was beautiful & clean. The hot tub was clean and nice to soak in after a long day of hiking. The neighborhood pool and pickle ball courts were added fun as well. Would definitely recommend staying here!
